 Ottawa’s
tourism community has adopted a “Child and Youth Friendly Program”
that will help ensure that our accommodations, festivals, attractions,
restaurants and stores will be equipped to welcome our young visitors.
There is something for every age group available. Here are some ideas
to help you plan an interesting program for your younger delegates! If
you would like more information please feel free to contact us.
Learning can be fun too!
- experience the wonder of IMAX / OMNIMAX theatre, or take a trip
around the world at the fascinating children’s museum, at the
Canadian Museum of Civilization
- learn all about farming at the Agriculture Museum, and at
the centrally located working farm in the heart of the city, the Central
Experimental Farm
- Canadian Museum of Nature’s audio-visual shows and
interactive displays introduce the world of nature to the curious

Technology’s out of this world astronomy program
- combine learning and fun at the National Aviation Museum through
films, interactive exhibits and lively multimedia displays, such as
their virtual reality hang-glider simulator

rooms in the East Block of Parliament Hill where Canada’s
first prime minister worked.

to Canada present their letters of credence to the Governor General
of Canada

the history, environment, and development in the 19th century

sites, such as Fulton’s Pancake House and Sugar Bush, Wheeler’s
Pancake House and Sugar Camp, Macskimming Outdoor Education Centre

best rivers for whitewater rafting
